Abstract: this paper, the application of BIM technology based on BIM technology and 3D collaborative design is introduced. Combined with the actual case introduced BIM technology in practical engineering application process and application effect, points out the development direction of application of BIM technology in coal industry design and problems, put forward BIM technology and resource strategy and design units to strengthen cooperation, sharing and win-win suggestions.
